My husband Sean and I recently moved into an apartment in Toh Tuck estate as it was nearer to my mother’s house. Being new to the estate we thought it would be a good idea to get to know our neighbours but didn’t quite know how to start.

Then one day, out of the blue , we decided to organise a barbeque party in our estate and started calling our extended families and friend.

This was also a good time to invite our neighbours and we didn’t want to let this opportunity slip by. Sean and I knock on our neighbour’s door and introduced ourselves. This was the first time we came face to face with them but we found them to be a very approachable couple. We told them of our plan to have a BBQ and they warmly accepted our invitation.

What we didn’t quite expect was for them to bring a bottle of wine and salad which they prepared themselves.

We had great time together and even though the party ended early at around 10 pm, we all enjoyed ourselves and agree to have another BBQ before year end.
