On our little cul-de-sac, there are a few families who have been here for more than 2 decades. As typical Singaporeans, we lead such busy lives that though we live so close we rarely get a chance to sit down and just chat.

Last week we had a potluck dinner. Our chinese neighbours from across the street came over with homemade hokkien mee, my grandma made chicken curry, our American neighbours brought dessert. We had a feast complete with local fruits like longan as we celebrated National Day!
