Golden Village promotes gracious movie-going etiquette with tongue-in-cheek ‘Movie Pest Survival Kit’

June 14, 2013

Singapore, 13 June 2013 – In a bid to encourage movie patrons to be more gracious and considerate towards their fellow movie-goers, Golden Village (GV) has put together a collection of items aimed at advocating good movie-going etiquette.

Named as the “Movie Pest Survival Kit”, it is created to present a subtle reminder to movie-goers to avoid being a ‘movie pest’, by not using mobile phones during movie screenings, disposing your own litter after the movie, avoid talking during the movie and refrain from bringing food with strong aroma to the cinema. Made up of four simple items, the kit comes complete with a tongue-in-cheek note from GV on creative ways to keep the movie pest at bay.

The initiative is launched in conjunction with the Singapore Kindness Movement and will be available to the first 500 patrons at GV Plaza over the weekend of 15 – 16 June 2013. On the following week, 22 – 23 June 2013, the kits will be distributed to the first 500 patrons at GV Plaza and GV VivoCity.

This limited edition “Movie Pest Survival Kit” will be distributed to patrons with every purchase of 2 tickets at GV on 15 &16 June 2013 at GV VivoCity and GV Plaza.

Patrons who received the kit are encouraged to tweet or instagram creative uses of the kit and tag GV @gvmovieclub with hashtag #NoToMoviePest or post on the official GV Facebook Page, https://www.facebook.com/gvmovieclub.
