Singapore, June 19, 2013 – Inspired by the popularity of social media, the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) has created a new platform that works off user submissions. The community driven blog is called ProSocial, with dual reference to both altruistic attitudes and social media savviness.

In essence, it is a blog moderated by SKM that will publish stories, artwork, photos or even shoutouts from users as long as the message is related to positive values like kindness, empathy and compassion. In the long run, ProSocial aspires to be an online community that draws together people who are inspired by positive stories.

There is a social element to the blog as users can link the posts to their social media accounts and members of the ProSocial community can also comment on each others’ posts.

SKM is in the process of setting up a reward system to motivate members to contribute stories to the site. With enough points, you will be able to redeem gifts from some of their corporate partners in the future.
