SINGAPORE – To mark World Bread Day, the volunteers from the Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) collaborated with Gardenia to distribute 3,000 buns during rush hour at three bus interchanges on Oct 16.

The giveaway was part of a campaign initiated by SKM and Gardenia to spread the message of kindness.

Each commuter at the Bedok, Bishan and Clementi interchanges were given two buns to share with their loved ones, whether it’s their relatives, colleagues or even the needy.

They are encouraged to share their kindness stories and photos by using the hashtag #NationofKindness on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

In turn, Gardenia will donate a loaf of bread to people in need for each hashtag used. The actual bread giveaway to the needy is slated to commence in Jan 2014.
