Truly one of a kind – InstaKindness with Singa reaffirms Singapore’s affinity with beloved mascot

Singapore, 26 July 2019 – Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) will be curating InstaKindness with Singa, an interactive event at Level 3 of Raffles City Shopping Centre.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 1st August to 18th August 2019 , and will be held in commemoration of Singapore’s 54th birthday, as well as the Singapore Bicentennial this year. SKM is also partnering with Raffles City Shopping Centre for Arts in the City: We Love SINGApore – An exhibition of 200 Singa figurines painted by various prominent Singaporeans, such as President Halimah Yacob, local artists and celebrities such as Fann Wong, located at the ground floor of the mall.

Members of the public will be able to enjoy a wide array of fun-filled activities suitable for the entire family. Children will be delighted with the Make a Splash with Kindness! ball pit. Additionally, with two tries priced at $1, children can try their luck to win exclusive Singa merchandise. All proceeds will go to SKM’s charity. Adults have the chance to showcase their artistic talents at the Come Together. Be Greater. wall mural, as well as redeem a mini DIY Singa to colour when they post photos of the exhibition with the hashtag #BeGreaterSG.

Lastly, the public will also be able to journey through time and reminisce about the various past SKM campaigns that struck a chord with Singaporeans in the Singapore Kindness Movement exhibition cubes.

Dr William Wan, General Secretary of Singapore Kindness Movement mentioned, “Singa has been our nation’s symbol of kindness and graciousness for many years now and still continues to inspire us today. I am very gratified that Singa is fondly remembered ever since his introduction in 1982. My hope is for Singaporeans to continue to be gracious and kind, making our home a truly great place to live in.”
